Mithai puri

Take 2 cup of maida in a bowl, add pinch of cooking soda. Add about a cup of milk for kneading, now knead the dough. Make a soft dough. Cover and let rest the dough for 1 hour.

Make few balls of dough for Rolling, Take a ball and dust some maida, Roll into a thin sheet. Take out the sheet in a plate. Repeat the process for the rest. Take a roll sheet and apply some ghee. Dust some maida, place one more sheet on this, again add ghee and dust with some maida. Repeat this process for other sheets.

Now roll the sheet together, cut the roll into small pieces. Take each piece and press gently. Now take each piece and roll it like a puri. Drop the puri in hot oil and deep fry. Fry only till it become crispy. Remove it from the pan.

Take a bowl in a gas stove, add sugar water, little bit of orange red food colour. Elaichi powder, mix well and cook for 5 min in a medium flame.

Now drop the puri in the sugar syrup and deep it. The mithai puri is ready.
