Steps

1 hour total
  1. 1

First, grind semolina and all the spices except salt in a mixie grinder and make a fine powder.

  2. 2

Then knead a tight and firm dough by adding salt as per taste, baking powder, melted ghee and cold water. Rest it covered for 10 minutes.

  3. 3

Preheat oven to 180°c for 10 minutes. Till it preheats, oil the rolling platform and rolling pin and roll out a 1"thick disk from a portion of the dough and cut out shapes of petals or any other shape of choice and arrange on a greased tray lined with baking sheet.

  4. 4

Brush the tops with oil. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or till golden on top. Or you can fry them in medium hot oil on slow flame till golden from both sides. Remove from oven or fryer, drain on kitchen paper towel, sprinkle chaat masala and then serve with hot chai. Enjoy!
