Ingredients

6 servings
  1. 1.5 lbGround Beef
  2. 1.5 lbGround Lamb
  3. 2 packagesmascarpone cheese
  4. 1 packagericotta cheese
  5. 1 packagefull fat Cottage Cheese
  6. 6 slicesMozzarella Cheese
  7. 6 slicesProsecuto
  8. 2 lbItalian Sausage, with casings removed

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Put a coating of Marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9 x 13 baking pan with tall sides.

    Put 3 lasagna noodles on the marinara.

  3. 3

    Fry the ground beef and lamb. Mix the two meats together. The ground beef should make the ground lamb more palatable.

    Once cooked, mix the beef and lamb together. The beef will help make the lamb less gamey.

    Put half the meat on the bottom layer of the lasagna.

  6. 6

    Put a coating of the mascarpone cheese on top of the beef and lamb.

    Put 3 lasagna noodles on top to start a second layer.

  8. 8

    Put on a layer of the cooked Italian sausage.

  9. 9

    Put a coat of the cottage cheese on the Italian sausage.

  10. 10

    Put three lasagna noodles on top of the sausage.

  11. 11

    Put 3 lasagna noodles on top of the cheese.

  12. 12

    Put a coating of the sliced meatballs down for layer 3.

  13. 13

    On top of the meatballs, add a layer of ricotta cheese.

    Put another 3 noodles down.

    Repeat layer 1.

  16. 16

    Repeat layer 2.

  17. 17

    Top with cheese that will melt as lasagna bakes.
