What, eggnog without eggs? Is it even possible?
I was reluctant to make more eggnogs (oh those precious eggs!) and suddenly I had a brainwave! I could add some custard powder instead! So it's not actually eggnog, but it tastes similar to it!

Steps

Mix 800 ml milk, whipping cream, vanilla, nutmeg, and salt. Use low heat and stir continuously.

Mix custard powder with 200 ml milk.

When the milk mixture is simmering, add custard powder + milk bit by bit and stir well. When it's slightly thickened, it's done! You can drink it hot. Or you can wait until it reaches room temp before storing it in the fridge.
