Tilachi vadi is a traditional recipe from Maharashtra. It is made on Makar Sankranti Festival. Very easy and simple and tasty recipe.

Grind the roasted sesame seeds coarsely. Remove from the pot and keep aside.

Then grind the roasted groundnuts coarsely. Remove from the pot and keep aside. Grease the plate with 1/2 tsp ghee and keep aside.

Heat the ghee in a pan on low flame. Add jaggery and mix well.

Let the jaggery melt well. Even small pieces of jaggery should melt. No need to make syrup.

Make sure jaggery should melted well. Add 2 tsp milk and mix well. Switch off the gas.

Add coarsely grinded sesame seeds, ground nuts, half of grated coconut, cardamom powder and nutmeg powder.

Mix it quickly.

Transfer the mixture into the greased plate. Spread it well.

Sprinkle dry grated coconut. Let it cool down a little not cool down the mixture completely.

Now cut it into desire shape.

Tilgul vadi is ready to serve.
