Ingredients

6 servings
  • 5large tomatoes
  • 10cucumbers
  • 1/2 headlettuce
  • 1/2 bunchfresh thyme
  • 1/2 bunchfresh mint
  • 1/2 bunchpurslane (or substitute with watercress)
  • 1/2 bunchfresh parsley
  • 1large onion
  • For seasoning and garnish
  • Salt
  • 1 pinchseven spice
  • 2 teaspoonssumac
  • 2 tablespoonsvinegar
  • Olive oil
  • 1/3 headgarlic
  • Juice of 1 lemon, or to taste
  • Toasted pita bread, optional

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash all the vegetables thoroughly and chop each one separately.

    Pick the mint, purslane, and thyme leaves and add them to the other vegetables. Roughly chop the parsley.

    Add the seasonings, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, and vinegar.

    Mix everything well. If you like, serve with toasted pita bread on the side.
