Spring onion sabji

Chop spring onion in equal size.

Soak moong dal for 15 to 20 minutes. Chop onion & tomatoes.

Heat oil in a pan. add mustard seeds, when it splutters add cumin seeds, asafoetida, green chili. Saute for 1 minute.

Add onion, when it turns golden in color. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, or Kala masala, mix it.

Then add tomatoes, saute for another minute. Add soaked moong dal. Mix it for 2 to 4 minutes.

Add spring onion & mix all.

Cover lid & cook for 2 to 4 minutes, don't cook so much. Serve with bajara roti or jawar bhakri or as a side dish for any rice item.
