Cooking Instructions
- 1
Preheat the oven to 180℃!
- 2
Put the banana in a bowl and use a whisk to mash it up.
- 3
Add the sugar, olive oil (or vegetable oil), milk (or soy milk), and mix together well.
- 4
Add the pancake mix and mix it in until just blended.
- 5
Pour into the cake pan and bake for 30 minutes at 180℃. It's done!
- 6
If you use a sweet banana, you'll end up with a very sweet cake, so you can adjust the amount of sugar to your taste (I find that even just 1 tablespoon is sweet enough).
- 7
1/2 a sheet of parchment paper matches the size of the pound cake pan perfectly.
- 8
This has no sugar and is made with raisins soaked in milk for 1 day (I used the soaking milk too). Even without sugar, these are sweet and delicious.

I often make cheese cakes, and I made this since I had the listed ingredients at home. You can hear tiny bubbles in the cake popping as you cut or bite into it. It's so fluffy and moist. I decided to make this one to be my signature cheese cake.If you don't have yogurt, substitute the amount of yogurt with milk. You can use Kabocha squash instead of purple sweet potato. Or make this cheese cake with neither of them!! Lemon juice is optional. You can use plain flour instead of pancake mix (make the meringue very stiff if using plain flour). This cake is moderately sweetened, so adjust the amount of sugar to taste. Foolproof Banana Cake with Pancake Mix Foolproof Banana Cake with Pancake Mix
I thought of a recipe that us child-rearing mothers could make together in our cooking club. I made this simple with pancake mix and melted butter so that anyone baking for the first time couldn't even fail. It's easy to make if using this recipe. It's a big hit.The banana is fine if just roughly mashed. If mashing is too much work, you can just slice it and mix it into the cake batter. I used an aluminium pound cake pan (10 x 18 x 5 cm) from the 100 yen shop. The flavor of the banana will be stronger if you can held your hands on a ripe one.Note: With the mold described above, I could slice my cake into 8-10 slices.Since this is made with pancake mix, there's no way you can fail. Just measure the ingredients and mix until there are no flour streaks. Recipe by tsubasa1119 cookpad.japan -
