I made this to use in various recipes.
Step 2: It's not necessary to wrap in plastic wrap.

Cut the strawberries into small pieces. Put the strawberries in a deep bowl and add granulated sugar and lemon juice.

Microwave at 600W for 6 minutes. Skim off any scum from the surface, then mash with a pestle. Microwave again at 600W for another 3 minutes, remove the scum, mash again, and let cool.

It goes great on top of yogurt or granola!

Boil a bottle or jar to sterilize, pour the sauce in, and chill in the refrigerator. Use up within a week.
