  1. 1 lbground turkey
  2. 1/2 cupketchup
  3. 1small yellow onion
  4. 1garlic clove
  5. 1/2 tablespoonWorcesterhire
  6. 1/2 tablespoonhickory liquid smoke
  7. 1/2 tablespoondijon mustard
  8. 2 tablespoonsbrown sugar
  9. 1 teaspooncornstarch
  10. Salt and pepper
  11. Jalapeno Popper Topping
  12. 1jalapeno
  13. 1/3 cupflour
  14. 1/2 cuppanko
  15. 1/4 teaspoongarlic powder
  16. 1/4 teaspoononion soup mix (or use onion powder and add salt)
  17. Dashchipotle chili pepper
  18. Dashpepper
  19. Dashpaprika

Cooking Instructions

    Heat pan on medium and add oil. Cook ground turkey until cooked through and add onions and garlic.

    Once onions look done and almost no moisture is left in the pan, add wet ingredients (ketchup, Worcestershire, liquid smoke, dijon mustard). Mix thoroughly and add brown sugar, salt, pepper, and cornstarch (diluted in 3 tablespoons of water).

    To make the jalapeno poppers, slice the jalapenos into thin rounds.

    To the flour, add all spices.

    Whisk egg.

    Coat jalapenos in flour mixture, then dip in egg, then the panko crumbs.

    Heat 1/4 cup of oil in a small fry pan and fry each side until golden.

    Suggested serving: Lightly toast burger buns and top the meat with cilantro and jalapeno, and drizzle with ranch dressing.
