Fluffy Caramelized French Toast

I wanted to something good with dried out slices of baguette!
If you have time, soak the bread in overnight to let the mixture soak all the way through.
The surface of the bread caramelizes for a crunchy texture to the sugar added at the end. Recipe by AyakoOOOOO

Steps
- 1
Mix together the ☆ ingredients, then let the bread soak in the mixture. (If you let the bread soak like this overnight until right before frying, the bread will completely soak up the mixture.)
- 2
Heat butter in a frying pan, then line up your slices of soaked bread. Cook over medium-low heat until golden brown.
- 3
Flip over to fry the other side until golden brown.
- 4
When both sides have turned golden brown, sprinkle the sugar (granulated, if you have it), flip the bread over, and let cook until the sugar has caramelized.
- 5
It's cute if you shape your bread like this!
- 6
Top with maple syrup, chocolate sauce, heavy cream, fruit, etc.
