Sometimes I run out of ponzu and don't have time to go to the store, so I make this.
There's really nothing more to say except maybe to try this with various kinds of citrus juice to find the ponzu that's right for you. Recipe by Yhacha

Sometimes I run out of ponzu and don't have time to go to the store, so I make this.

Combine the soy sauce, vinegar, and mirin in a pot and heat.

Don't let it boil much. Remove from the heat once it starts to bubble. Let cool.

Once cooled, add your favorite citrus juice.

If using mirin seasoning, you can just mix it. If you use hon-mirin, but don't mind the alcohol, you don't need to heat it.

It's done! Store in a container.

I used it on some bonito!!

It's also great with karaage!!
