I've been making this for a while now.

Step 2 If you'd like your broccoli to be well-flavored, add 2 teaspoons of sugar to 1000 ml of water.
The broccoli will be ready after a minute of cooking depending on the dish you're planning to make with it.
Step 3 Make sure the broccoli is dispersed and not clammed together. Recipe by Yuuyuu0221

Steps

  1. 1

Rinse the broccoli well with water. Chop off the stem, then break the floret into smaller bunches. Peel the hard parts of the stem to chop into smaller pieces.

  2. 2

Heat some water in a pot. Add salt and bring it to a boil. Start with adding the broccoli stems. After about 20 seconds, add the rest of the broccoli. Cook for 1-2 minutes and drain in a sieve.

  3. 3

Fan the broccoli. This makes the broccoli retain its beautiful green color as well as preventing it from softening.
