To prepare the stuffing, crumb the paneer and keep aside.

Parboil the peas and keep aside. If using frozen peas, you can use them directly after thawing.

Heat oil in a pan. Add in the chopped onions and saute until translucent. Add in the tomatoes and peas and cook for a minute.

Add in the salt, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, and turmeric.

Add in the paneer. Mix well and cook until the water dries up. Keep aside.

Next prepare the batter for the chilla. In a large bowl, mix together the besan and the rice flour. Add a bit of water to make a smooth paste so that there are no lumps.

Add in the ginger garlic paste and the dry masalas. Mix well.

Add the onions and the chopped coriander leaves. Check the salt and add more if required.

Add the baking powder and mix well. The batter should be of pouring consistency. Not too thick.

Pour a ladleful of the batter and spread it evenly. Once cooked, baste with a bit of oil and flip it over.

Remove to a serving plate. Add in the stuffing on one half of the chilla and folder it over.

The Paneer Stuffed Besan Chilla is ready to serve. Serve it with your favorite chutney.
