When dining at Korean restaurants, the tempting array of side dishes is always irresistible. You can easily make this at home using thin Busan-style fish cakes, onion, and carrot for a simple Korean side dish.

Prepare all the ingredients.

Cut the fish cake into strips. Slice the onion thinly. Cut the green onions into sections. Peel and julienne the carrot.

Heat a pan and add 1 tablespoon vegetable oil. Sauté the onion until it softens and turns translucent.

Add the julienned carrot and stir-fry for 1 minute, then add the fish cake strips.

Stir-fry all the ingredients together for 5 minutes. Add the sauce ingredients and continue to stir-fry until everything is evenly coated and flavorful, about 1–2 minutes.

Transfer to a plate and serve.

This side dish is perfect for sharing with friends, enjoying with drinks, or pairing with tea.

Tip: Fish cake is already seasoned, so you don't need to add much extra seasoning.
