Farfalle with the 3 Ps (Cream, Ham, and Peas)

Last Sunday, February 28th, was my birthday, and for the occasion, I organized a lunch with a full 1980s theme, from appetizers to dessert. For the appetizer, I chose vol-au-vent, this pasta dish for the first course, tuna meatloaf as a nod to the 'fake fish' that used to be popular, and for dessert, a timeless classic: Tiramisu.
Here, I've decided to share the recipes I chose for the pasta and the main course. It had been ages since I last had pasta with the 3 Ps, and it was just as delicious as I remembered.

Steps
- 1
Cook the peas from frozen with a little olive oil in a pan. Cover and cook for a few minutes. Once they've started to thaw, season with salt. Meanwhile, bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the pasta.
- 2
While the peas are cooking, dice the cooked ham and add it to the peas. I like to let it brown a bit, but you can also add it after turning off the heat once the peas are cooked.
- 3
Once the pasta is cooked, drain it and reserve a little of the cooking water in case the sauce is too thick. Add the pasta to the pan with the peas and ham, stir in the cream, season with salt and pepper, and toss everything together for a few minutes. Enjoy this classic dish!
