Arabic Milky Qahwa

Qahwa or Arabic Coffee is a very popular hot beverage loved in Saudi Arabia and almost all the Gulf countries. It is served in small cups called Dallah (the cups are small with no handles) along with Dates because it's bitter in taste. And every Gulf Country has it's own way of making it. Qahwa is made with Green Coffee beans, Cardamom and some Rose water. Saffron is also used. It's made like every other concoction but the ingredients are different. It's very rich in Vitamin B12 which is helpful in strengthening our immune system. It increases our metabolism rate and flushes out toxins from the body. It refreshes your body. It relieves stress, improves concentration and helps improve your health. This drink or beverage is a sign of hospitality when welcoming guests in Saudi Arabia, Middle Eastern and Arabian Peninsula. It's a traditional beverage and therefore traditionally roasted on the premises in front of the guests, ground, brewed and served. It's served plain without any Sugar. Saffron and Rose water are added to enhance the flavour if desired.
In this particular Milky version of it, I just made a slight change by adding Coffee Creamer in moderate amounts to enhance the overall flavour. Traditionally it is not used at all. I have made this with a lovely twist to it. I do hope that you will definitely love it. Qahwa powder is easily available on Amazon India.

Steps
- 1
Bring water to a rolling boil on a high heat at first. Add Cardamom and Qahwa powders. Reduce the heat to a low and allow it to simmer.
- 2
After done simmering for about 20 minutes, strain this in the serving kettle or flask. To this add the Coffee Creamer. Stir and it's all ready to be served. This will not only give it a lovely taste but also reduces the bitterness.
- 3
Serve in special cups called Dallah alongside Dates. Happy Sipping! Happy Chai Time!
