Japanese Premium Beef Steak

I was inspired by a recipe I got at a restaurant.
I never knew I could get some Japanese premium beef in the United States! I couldn't resist buying them. I sliced them into 3/4 inch pieces, but they told me to cook 3 minutes each if they're 1 inch pieces. Recipe by clover_qp
Japanese Premium Beef Steak
I was inspired by a recipe I got at a restaurant.

Take out the beef from the fridge, and let them rest for 10 minutes at room temperature.

Put the vegetable oil and sliced garlic into the frying pan. Stir-fry patiently until nicely browned.

Remove the sinews of the beef, then lightly salt and pepper both sides.

Remove the garlic from the frying pan and put the beef in. Cook for 2 minutes at high heat.

Flip and cook for 2 minutes at medium heat.

Remove the beef from the frying pan and let them rest for 5~10 minutes. This is a tip to cook the insides. I covered it with plastic wrap for 5 minutes.

Cook both sides for 30 seconds each over high heat. Dish them up, and enjoy the medium rare beef steak!

I used the same frying pan to make some wasabi sauce.

To finish, I topped a bowl of rice with arugula, soft poached eggs, and the sliced beaf steak, then poured some wasabi sauce over it to make a rice bowl. It was amazing!
