Ingredients

  1. 1red onion
  2. 1 cupvinegar -white wine vinegar, apple cider or white balsamic
  3. 1 cupwater
  4. 1 tbspsalt
  5. 1 tbspwhite sugar
  6. 2.5 mlpeppercorns

Steps

  1. 1

    Slice the red onion finely.

    In a pot add the vinegar, water, salt, sugar and peppercorns. Bring to a boil.

  3. 3

    Place the sliced red onion into a jar. Pour the hot pickling liquid into the jar to cover the red onion.

    Let it cool in fridge for a minimum of 30 minutes.

  5. 5

    I pickled some cucumber with the same liquid.
