Ingredients

  1. 1medium can Sardine
  2. 1Tomato (chopped)
  3. 2Onion (sliced)
  4. 1spring Curry Leaves
  5. 1 tbsGinger and Garlic paste
  6. 2Bird's Eye Chilli (slit)
  7. 3 tbsChilli Paste
  8. Salt to taste
  9. 1/2 cupWater
  10. 2 tbsOil

  1. 1

    Remove bone from sardine and break it into small pieces. Set aside. (keep the sardine sauce)

  2. 2

    Heat oil in a pan. Add onion, saute until onion turn translucent add tomato. Saute for 3 mins.

  3. 3

    Add chilli and curry leaves. Do a quick stir and add ginger garlic paste. Saute until raw smell disappear.

  4. 4

    Add chilli paste. Cook until oil separate. Add water and sardine sauce. Mix well, cook for 3 mins.

  5. 5

    Add sardine pieces and salt. Cook further until oil breaks. Adjust consistency according to your preference (if you want the sambal to be thick cook further for 2 mins)
