Gunda Pickle

It is very difficult for me to get Gunda here in Kerala. Actually we have a Gunda tree here but no one is using it. So this time I asked someone to pluck it. I got few.. lucky enough.. personally I like small size gunda as less masala in the single Gunda also it won't be soft.

It is very difficult for me to get Gunda here in Kerala. Actually we have a Gunda tree here but no one is using it. So this time I asked someone to pluck it. I got few.. lucky enough.. personally I like small size gunda as less masala in the single Gunda also it won't be soft.
Steps
- 1
Wash the Gunda. Take mustard daal, methi daal and fennel seeds and run it in the mixie. Let it be coarse. Heat the oil.
- 2
Take all daal (kuriya) and add hot oil in it. Add salt and red chilli powder. Mix it well
- 3
Take salt. With help of chuteny stone, gently crack it. Cover the spoon with salt and with that, remove the seed. Do it same for all Gunda. Stuff it with prepared masala.
- 4
Keep it outside for two-three days. Add oil. If you are storing in the fridge, no need to add too much oil.
