Ingredients

6 servings
  1. 1 poundground beef
  2. 1egg
  3. 1/2 cupbread crumbs
  4. 2 tbspfresh parsley
  5. 2 tbspItalian seasoning / minced or fresh onion
  6. Meatballs
  7. Sauce :
  8. 1 pintfresh grape tomatoes
  9. 2 tbspgarlic and onion seasoning
  10. 1Fresh sweet onion sautéed
  11. 1 Cloveminced garlic
  12. 1/3 cupwhite sugar
  13. 1/4 cupbrown sugar
  14. Dashnutmeg
  15. Fresh basil 1/4 cup chopped

Cooking Instructions

    Meatballs- mix egg, 2 tbsp of water. Breadcrumbs and seasoning in a bowl. Mix one time then add raw pound of hamburger. Mix lightly w hands. Then form into round meatballs. Sprinkle w salt and pepper.

    Heat oven 350- but meatballs in a glass or ceramic baking dish. Cook 30-35 minutes.

    While meatballs are cooking - make sauce. Add all ingredients and cook on med hear for 15 minutes. Let the sauce simmer until tomatoes pop. Also add one jar of spaghetti sauce all natural. Add fresh basil at the end. Cover and simmer on low.

    Remove meatballs. Scoop one tablespoon of sauce over each meatball on place back in oven for 5 minutes. Then shut oven off, let them rest for 5 minutes. Place them in the simmering sauce. Remove from heat.

    Make spaghetti or egg pasta. I do not make homemade pasta but you could.
    Add sauce and meatballs over hot pasta. Add Parmesan and fresh basil!
