Steps

Place a pan,heat it. Put makhana in it and roast till they are nicely crispy. Grind the makhana coarsely and keep aside.

Next add 1/2 tsp ghee and fry the dry fruits. Keep them aside.

Next in the pan put 1 tbsp ghee, put coarse makhana powder and fry till you get a nice aroma.
Do not overfry. - 4
Into the makhana add the milkshake slowly and stir. Let it boil at slow flame.Go on scraping sides and let the milk get reduced.

Add cardamoms, sugar, pinch of salt and mix. Continue it being on sim flame.

Add grated khoya and mix. Let it get melted and combined with rest of the ingredients.
Add water whenever needed. - 7
Next add vanilla essence and some fried dry fruits.
Mix.
Keep some dry fruits for garnish. - 8
Let it be on slow to medium high flame. Keep stirring else it may burn.
Cook till the required consistency. Add 1/2 tsp ghee for the shine. Mix.
As the kheer cools it would become thick so adjust consistency accordingly. - 9
MAKHANA BUTTERSCOTCH KHEER is totally ready..
Tranfer to a dish.Garnish with dry fruits and let it cool little bit. - 10
Now... ready to serve this delicious kheer...
