Aunt Sophia, my husband's aunt, served this halva at my mother-in-law's memorial in the village, and I was impressed by its taste and deliciousness! Naturally, I asked her for the recipe and tried making it myself.

Melt the butter in a pot, then add the semolina and toast it until it turns a nice brown color. Do this over medium heat.

Carefully add the water while stirring continuously, then add the sugar and raisins. Stir until the mixture is smooth and thickened.

Let it cool and place it in molds or a cake pan.

Sprinkle with cinnamon and serve. It's a perfect, vegan dessert! Enjoy!
