I have to watch protein intake as a vegetarian and pulses are good resource for it. This daal is very tasty and I always prefer to eat after fever because it enhances taste buds. You can always make this, do not just wait for fever You don't need always tomato, onion and cream to make a dish.

I have to watch protein intake as a vegetarian and pulses are good resource for it. This daal is very tasty and I always prefer to eat after fever because it enhances taste buds. You can always make this, do not just wait for fever You don't need always tomato, onion and cream to make a dish.

Soak the daal for 2 hours. Pressure cook it. In a pan, add oil. Once oil is hot, add crushed green chillies, garlic and ginger. Cook it for some time. Add turmeric powder.

Add boiled daal in that. In another pan, take oil. Once oil is hot, add mustard, jeera, curry leaves, dried red chilli and asfoitida.

Pour it into the daal. Cook for some more time. Serve hot with Roti or Rice.
