Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 1 cupMoong dal without husk - soaked
  2. 1 crushed green chillies, ginger and garlic
  3. 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  4. as neededOil
  5. as per tasteSalt
  6. as neededWater
  7. as neededfew curry leaves
  8. 1dry red chilli
  9. 1 pinchasafoetida
  10. 1/2 tsp mustard
  11. 1/2 tsp Jeera

20 minutes
  1. 1

    Soak the daal for 2 hours. Pressure cook it. In a pan, add oil. Once oil is hot, add crushed green chillies, garlic and ginger. Cook it for some time. Add turmeric powder.

    Add boiled daal in that. In another pan, take oil. Once oil is hot, add mustard, jeera, curry leaves, dried red chilli and asfoitida.

    Pour it into the daal. Cook for some more time. Serve hot with Roti or Rice.
