Bhel is a dish made by mixing certain substances and sauces. A dish that is prepared by mixing the ingredients. Bhel is usually made using puffed rice, boiled potatoes and sauces. Due to its savory taste it comes in the Chaat range of food. Bhelpuri is a Gujarati dish. Which came to Mumbai and blended into the culture here and became an identity of Mumbai. Bhel is a dish made by mixing certain substances and sauces. A dish that is prepared by mixing the ingredients. Bhelpuri is made all over India and is known by various names in different regions. For example, Churumuri in Bangalore, Zal Muri (Masaledargaram Mamra) in Kolkata. Zal Muri does not have tamarind sauce. It uses boiled fried potatoes, coriander powder, lentils, crushed coconut and mustard oil.
Even in my State - Gujarat, different bhel is praised in many cities. Today I have also made the Bhel of Babubhai Bhelwada famous in Chauta Bazaar of Surat. Which has become quite spicy and delicious.
