This was inspired by chili shrimp and fried chicken... but I fried it instead of deep frying.

Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 1Chicken (thigh or breast)
  2. 1 dashSalt and pepper
  3. 1 cloveGarlic
  4. 1 dashPlain flour
  5. A) (This is an approximate amount. Adjust to your taste)
  6. 2 tbspStore-bought chili sauce
  7. 1 tbspReal mirin
  8. 1 tbspSake
  9. 1 1/2 tbspSoy sauce
  10. B)
  11. 1desired amount Green beans
  12. 1desired amount Mizuna greens
  13. 1desired amount New or sweet onion
  14. 1Olive oil

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the chicken by butterflying it and removing the sinew. Season with salt and pepper and coat lightly with sifted flour with a tea strainer.

  2. 2

    In a heated frying pan, add olive oil and sliced garlic. Take out garlic when it's cooked. Fry chicken with skin side down.

  3. 3

    Flip over the chicken, add green beans and fry. Cover with a lid and steam-cook.

  4. 4

    Mix the A) ingredients.

  5. 5

    When Step 3 is cooked, remove from the pan and cut into bite size. Serve on a plate with B.

  6. 6

    Add Step 4 in a frying pan and bring to a boil. Pour Step 5 over it and it's done♪
