How To Cut Lemon Wedges

Everyone cuts lemons into 8 wedges lengthwise, but if you do it that way there's a high chance that the cut side of the wedges will be the sac wall...which means that when you squeeze the wedge, the juice goes flying everywhere. So I came up with this cutting method. I wanted to teach this method to my children, so I wrote it down here.
Lemons cut into 8 lengthwise wedges are fine, but since it takes the same amount of effort anyway, I like to go with this method, which results in nice cut sides. The walls of the lemon sacs won't be on the cut sides of the wedges, so the wedges are easy to juice and look beautiful too. Recipe by kebeibiko

Cooking Instructions
- 1
With the pointed end of the lemon facing up, cut an X into the side.
- 2
- 3
Here's the lemon cut along the X. This makes 4 pieces.
- 4
Cut each piece into half to end up with 8 wedges. You're all done.
- 5
Addended by request: The X cut is a good way to cut an oval shaped fruit evenly. I've also posted a different cutting procedure using the same method.
- 6
To cut a round large citrus, start by cutting it in half.
- 7
With the cut sides facing up, cut each half into half again. (If the fruit is very big so you can cut it into thirds.)
- 8
The wedges look like this from the sides. The fruit comes off the peel cleanly and is easy to eat.

This is a way of making candied lemon peel using thick peel (with the white pith still on it)...After making this many times, I put together my method for a delicious result. You can use this method for buntan or other citrus fruit with even thicker peels. You can keep this for a long time in the refrigerator. They become more delicious after a few days.I don't like the bitterness of peel, so this tastes really good to me, but if you prefer to have some bitterness you may find these inadequate. How To Cut a Mango Restaurant Style How To Cut a Mango Restaurant Style
I tried several times to recreate the cut mangoes we had some time ago at a Thai restaurant.I discovered this method of figuring out the shape and direction of the pit from experience.Turn the mango round and round to ascertain where the edge of the pit is. If the mango is not ripe the fruit will not come away from the skin easily, so be sure to use a ripe one. The mango in the photos is the red-skinned Kent variety. Other varieties may not turn red, but as long as they are soft they are ripe. Recipe by Sawaokayoshimi cookpad.japan -

Preserved Lemons Preserved Lemons
I always preserve both sliced lemons and lemons cut into wedges, so that I have the type I need for different dishes. I add the preserved lemons to marinades for chicken that's to be simmered and so on. The syrup can be used for dressings and quick pickles! Both the lemons and syrup can be used as very refreshing, delicious seasoning ingredients in all sorts of ways - these salted lemon slices are useful. You can preserve the lemons in salt only, but if you add just a little sugar, the salty taste will become milder. The lemons are kept at room temperature as they mature (about 2 weeks to a month), but when the weather is hot it's best to keep them in the refrigerator afterwards. During the winter you can keep them in a cool dark place. Recipe by Heartful Kitchen Rei cookpad.japan -

Simple Pineapple Cutting Technique Simple Pineapple Cutting Technique
In some countries, outdoor vendors will cut up fruit right before your eyes. I was overwhelmed by their skill, speed, and presentation, so I wanted to try doing it myself.Don't forget to use a serrated bread knife rather than a normal kitchen knife to cut the pineapple skin, as it will be much easier to use. Also, make sure that you make the handle at the beginning.
