Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in medium bowl, then set aside

Beat softened butter until light and fluffy, then cream together brown and white sugar until fully incorporated

Beat in egg, milk, and vanilla at medium speed. Slowly add flour mixture by the spoonful.

Turn mixer down and slowly add food coloring by drop until desired color is achieved.

Mix in chocolate chips, then refrigerate dough for 1 hour.

Use a medium cookie scoop to make approximately 2 dozen cookies, flatten them slightly. Bake at 350F for 8-10 minutes
