Steps

Rinse the basmati rice, drain well and keep the rice to dry.when rice are dried blend it in a mixer,it should be grind coarse.

Boil the milk and keep on stirring the spatula to avoid milk stick at the bottom. When the milk is boiling add grounded rice and let again boil, add sugar and keep stirring.

Cook the rice on low flame and keep on stirring to avoid lumps. Also scraps the side and mix it to the boiling milk.

The rice will get thick as rice is cooked At this stage adds roasted walnut, it should not be powder,(blend it in ground coarse).

When everything is mixed properly add cardamom powder and add Kesar(mixed with 1tsp of milk) and mix it well

Cook fhirni till you get creamy pudding texture. After cooling at room temperature add roasted walnut for a crunchy taste. Garnish with pista and walnut, keep it in the refrigerator to enjoy chilled fhirni. Your fhirni is ready.
