Chicken Nihari

Heat oil in a pressure cooker.Thinly slice onions and fry till golden.

Add chicken pieces,fry till water dries.Add all spices and further cook for 2 minutes on medium flame.Add salt.

Add about 250 ml water,cover the lid and cook on high flame for 2 whistles.

Lower the flame to medium and cook for 5-6minutes.

After then,put off flame and let pressure release itself.

Make a slurry of wheat flour by adding water.Add this to the chicken.Cook for few minutes and again cover the lid and cook on medium flame for 3-4minutes.

After pressure release,open the lid. Adjust gravy consistency and check salt.Dish out and garnish with chopped green chillies,coriander leaves and ginger julians.

Chicken Nihari is ready to serve.Serve with naan/chapati /parathe.
