Steps

Cover the chickpeas with water, refrigerate them till next day.

Strain them and cook(boiled) until soft (30 min)

In a pan, pour the oil and add onion,chili,corrineder. Then add the garlic, turmeric,curry, salt and mix well for about 4 min on a medium heat

Then drain the chickpeas and add them to the mix and give them a stir for about 1 min

Add the tomato purée and let them simmer gently for 15 min

As for the final touch, You can sprinkle some seasome seed on the top for the garnish
