A popular indo-chinese dish, this is my mother's take on it. I do not make it any other way!
Steps

In a deep kadhai heat the oil. Add the green chillies and when it spitters put in the soya sauce.

Stir for 10 seconds and then add in the onions. Fry till the onions have softened.

Add the chicken, hot and sweet sauce and stir it a few times. Add a little water, cover and cook.

Keep checking to see that the chicken does not burn
- 5
When the chicken is cooked half way through, add your salt, sugar and vinegar. You can add a little water if you want more gravy.

Remove the lid and let this cook till the consistency of gravy is achieved and chicken is cooked through Taste and adjust seasoning.

Remove and serve. This goes well rice and dal or can be served with baked vegetables and bread!
