Based on Mrs Darlingtons Tangy blackcurrant tray bake which everyone loved in the office.
Steps

Cream softened butter and sugar together

Add eggs to mixture and then incorporate the flour and milk

Prepare a baking tray 20×30 cm
- 4
Add almond and vanilla extract to sponge mixture and spread on prepared tray and bake for 10 minutes at 180°C
- 5
QUICK remove from the oven and dot the part baked cake with about 15 dollops of blackcurrant jam a good sprinkle of chopped hazelnuts and frozen blackcurrants

Quickly return to the oven and bake for another 15 to 20 minutes.
