Family favorite! I used to think the steak would be sweet, but it is just the right amount of flavor! Try it and thank me later!

Ingredients

  1. Steaks (Ribeye is best)
  2. Adolf's meat tenderizer (light sprinkling)
  3. Lemon Pepper (generous sprinkling)
  4. BBQ seasoning (generous sprinkling)
  5. Black pepper (cover evenly)
  6. Garlic powder (light sprinkling)
  7. Sugar (very generous sprinkling)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Sprinkle each ingredient on both sides of steaks. Place on trays and cover.

  2. 2

    Refrigerate overnight.
(My husband had me add more sugar in the morning because it soaked through. Sugar is needed for caramelizing. I also needed to let it sit out to room temperature before cooking.)

  3. 3

Cook over high flame on outdoor grill until it is cooked to your preference. We like to cook over mesquite charcoal and large wood chips. Steak will be crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside! 😋
