Since mango is in the season I share this recipe. Mango Kesari or mango sheera is a delicious dessert and easy to make. You can make as a dessert or as a naivedyam on religious or social occasions.

Soak almonds in hot water for 10-15 minutes. Then remove skin and make flakes. Soak saffron strands in little milk.

In a pan heat ghee. Add suji and roast on low flame till golden and nice aroma release. On the other stove bring milk to boil.

When suji turn golden, add hot milk carefully and gradually. Stir till suji absorbs milk. Add sugar, saffron milk and mango pulp. Mix well. (Sugar depends on sweetness of mango and taste of your tastebuds. So add sugar according to your taste)

Add cardamom powder and cashew nuts pieces. Stir until ghee seperates. Garnish with almond flakes. Delicious mango Kesari is ready to serve.
