Ingredients

  1. 300 gfresh spaghetti
  2. 3trimmed leeks
  3. 1lemon
  4. 1 handfulfresh basil
  5. 2 tspvery lazy garlic
  6. 6 tspgrated parmasan

Cooking Instructions

    Boil the kettle.

    Zest the lemon and cut in half ready.

  3. 3

    Slice the leeks.

  4. 4

    Pull the basil leaves off.

  5. 5

    Measure 1 litre of boiling water.

  6. 6

    Add the water, spaghetti, leeks, garlic, lemon zest, basil and some salt and pepper to a large frying pan or wok. Save a little lemon zest and basil to serve.

    Cook stirring occasionally until the water is nearly gone and the spahetti is cooked.

    Squeeze in the lemon and add parmasan and mix well.

  9. 9

    Take off the heat and serve sprinkled with the lemon zest, basil and parmasan set aside. Add pepper to suit your taste.

I love to cook but hate to do dishes. Ideal recipes taste delicious, are cooked in one pan and in less than 30 minutes. Although the occassional lengthy recipes for a weekend are lovely too.
