Ingredients

30 mins.
  • 4 big sized beetroots (washed,peeled & chopped in verysmall pieces
  • 3-4green chillies
  • 2 sprigscurry leaves
  • 4-5garlic cloves chopped finely
  • 1dry red chilli
  • 3 tbspnfresh grated coconut
  • 1/2 tspasafoetida
  • 1 tspcoriander powder (optional)
  • 1 tspmustard seeds
  • 1/2 tspurad dal (optional)
  • 2 tspcoconut oil
  • As per taste Salt to taste

Steps

30 mins.
  1. 1

    Take a wok, add oil, add mustard seeds, let it splutter, add urad dal, asafoetida, green chilies, red chili, curry leaves, and garlic cloves saute for a min.

  2. 2

    Add the thinly chopped beetroots to it. Mix well and cover with a steam releasing lid for 10mins.
    (Stir in intervals)

  3. 3

    Add coriander powder & salt and mix well. cover for more 2-3mins and done.

  4. 4

    Garnish with grated coconut and mix well.
    Serve with dal-rice combo or with phulkas.
