Hamburger Patties

I got the spices from my local butcher, who was selling them in limited quantity. Using those spices, I made a hamburger patty. It's super good!

If you can get coarsely ground meat from your butcher, it's even more delicious! Be careful not to over-mix or over-cook! When flipping the burgers, be sure not to press down on them! The patties are pretty juicy and the juice will come out. Make sure you use fresh panko. Recipe by Uniikura

Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 400 gramsGround beef (fresh)
  2. 1/2of 1 large Beaten egg
  3. 100 mlFresh panko
  4. 1/2 tspStore-bought beef soup stock granules
  5. 1to 1 1/2 tablespoons Mayonnaise
  6. 3 pinchPaprika powder
  7. 1/2 tspRoasted dried garlic powder
  8. 3 pinchNutmeg
  9. 1 dashAllspice
  10. 1generous amount! Black pepper (coarsely ground)
  11. 5 gramsSautéed onion paste (I used the commercial kind for curries)
  12. 1 tspSugar
  13. 5 gramsSalt
  14. 1Vegetable oil for frying

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Beat the egg and mix in the fresh panko. Let soak.

  2. 2

Bring out the ground beef, and while it's still cold from the refrigerator, mix together with the egg-soaked panko and all of the spices. Mix together until thoroughly combined.

  3. 3

If you want to keep the texture of the meat, mix until just combined. If you'd prefer a fluffy, juicy burger, mix well (be sure not to mix too much!!)

  4. 4

Divide into your desired amount of patties and shape until they are just a bit larger in circumference than your buns.

  5. 5

I think patties that are 1 cm thick are best. When cooking, the patties will shrink, so be sure to make them a little bigger than the buns.

  6. 6

Oil the frying pan and cook both sides.

  7. 7

If you are making cheeseburgers, just before the second side is done cooking, top with cheese and lid the pan like in the picture.

  8. 8

Toast the insides of the buns and spread margarine on their surface. Top with lettuce and mayonnaise.

  9. 9

Top with tomatoes or avocados, then with the patties.

  10. 10

Then top with fresh onions and mustard, pickles, and ketchup.

  11. 11

Done! These awesome burgers are complete! Take big bites, it's the only way to enjoy these burgers.

  12. 12

You can enjoy an American diner experience at home with your favorite people!

  13. 13

    A bonus version for a kid's lunch!
