Ingredients

35-40 minutes
4-5 people
  1. For Besan batter-
  2. 2 Cupsbesan (gram flour)
  3. 1 tspred chilli powder
  4. 1 tspturmeric powder
  5. 1/2 tspkasoori methi
  6. 1/2 tspbaking soda
  7. 1/2 tspajwain (crushed)
  8. as per tasteSalt
  9. For potato stuffing-
  10. 2-3boiled potatoes (mashed)
  11. 1/2 tsphing
  12. 2 tspcoriander powder
  13. 2 tspAmchur powder
  14. 2-3green chillies (chopped)
  15. 1/2 tsproasted cumin powder
  16. 8-10bread slices
  17. 2 tablespoonsfresh coriander leaves
  18. as per tasteSalt
  19. 1 tablespoonoil + oil for frying

Steps

35-40 minutes
  1. 1

    Take one big bowl and mix all ingredients for besan batter with the help the whisk. Always add water gradually otherwise lumps will appear and the batter will not come smooth. Keep this aside.

    Take one nonstick pan add oil and then add heeng and other ingredients with mashed potatoes and fry for 1 minute and transfer this batter to a plate and let it be cool.

  3. 3

    Now take bread slices put some ghee on it then spread mint coriander Chutney and potatoes then cover it with another bread slice. Now heat the oil and the flame should be medium to high. Then deep fry these bread pakoda for 2-3 minutes and transfer it on a kitchen tissue paper.

    Now cut this pakoda into triangles and again deep fry for a couple of minutes or until they become golden in color. Super delicious bread pakodas are ready. Enjoy these with garam hot masala chai (see recipe) and mint coriander chutney (see recipe).

  5. 5

    Tips-
    Always put some ghee on the bread slice before layering chutney and potato stuff. It’ll not spread out while frying.
