King oyster mushrooms sautéed in soy butter

Slice the mushroom in half lengthwise and score the cut surfaces with shallow crisscross pattern.

Cut the scored mushroom pieces in half again crosswise.

Slice the garlic into thin shreds.

Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Place mushroom pieces in the pan, scored sides down. Cook for about 2 minutes, then turn them over and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Put the butter in an empty part of the frying pan and add the garlic. Shake the pan to evenly distribute the contents and coat the mushrooms with butter.

Add the soy sauce, stir briefly and serve.
