Salsa Verde ☆ How to Make Green Salsa

I bought tomatillo tomatoes for the first time. This recipe for green salsa recipe was taught to me by a Mexican person. You can make it in 15 minutes! I was surprised by just how simple it was.
Add more jalapeño peppers for a spicier flavour. For me, one is enough. You may omit the cilantro.
Add just enough boiling water to achieve your preferred consistency. Of course, you may also omit it. Recipe by Lanoringochan

Cooking Instructions
- 1
These are tomatillos. They're similar to Chinese lantern plants, like green tomatoes concealed within a thin, dry shell. Peel this shell away and wash the tomatillos.
- 2
This green chili pepper is a jalapeño pepper. Remove the stem.
- 3
Cut the onion and tomatillos into chunks. Peel the garlic.
- 4
Combine all of the vegetables in a blender along with the cilantro, if you're adding it. For those who like cilantro, use about 5 stems.
- 5
Blend the vegetables into a paste and season with salt to taste. Gradually add the boiled water until you reach your preferred consistency.
- 6
Once you have reached your desired consistency and flavor, give the mixture anther quick whiz in the blender.
- 7
The salsa is ready. Serve it with your favourite dishes. It goes great with tacos, burritos, tortillas, fish or meat dishes, and salads.
- 8
I had mine on some tacos.
- 9
This salsa tastes fresh just after you've made it, but it's also delicious the next day after the flavours have blended.

I found some mysterious looking tomatillos in the supermarket and used them to make this green salsa. I prefer green salsa over red salsa and tried many ways to get this recipe right. I tend to buy my salsa but wanted to taste some homemade stuff just this once.Of course you can use jalapeño peppers rather than Serrano chili peppers if you'd prefer. You can also make this salsa entirely with raw vegetables. I always boil my vegetables but there's not really a reason for it, it's just something that I have always done. You can also make a warm simmered sauce from this recipe by adding more salt. Recipe by KazenomachinoPeco cookpad.japan -

Salsa was very delicious! We doubled the recipe, and added a few Tbl of lime juice. The jalapeño was too spicy so we added 6-7 extra tomatillos. Next time I would just cut the amount of jalapeño in half. Ari Phillips -

Everyone’s flavor profile is a little different. Making good salsa is like painting. A little of this color and a little of that color, some blending, until it’s just right! Here are the key ingredients and directions. Quantities are up to your tastes! I make a big batch and freeze for later. Also, I like it spicy 😉🌶️ Courtney Mainhart -
