Dahi Chiwda is the healthiest desi breakfast.
It's a combo of Yoghurt / Curd with Chiwda / Chuda / Poha / Flattened Rice.
This gluten-free, high in fiber, low in calories, rich in probiotics and other minerals and vitamins breakfast is popular in Bihar, You.P, Jharkhand and mostly in the Easten part of India and it's neighboring countries like Nepal and Bangladesh, it's quite satiating, hence is good for weight loss diet, during Jaundice and when you have loose motion/ Diarrhoea then it's the first thing you must have add pomegranate and mint too, if you have.
Some people add ripe banana too, so it becomes quite a heavy meal but it's good for your stomach, it helps in clearing your motion.
In Bihar, You.P and Nepal it's eaten on Makar Sankranti as it's believe to bring good fortune and on auspicious occasions too.

  1. 80 GmsFkattened Rice / Chiwda
  2. 200 gmsPlain Curd/ Yoghurt
  3. 1-2 tbspSuga or Jaggery
  4. 1 pinchsalt
  5. 1 pinchBlack Rock Salt
  6. As neededFew Mint leaves (optional)
  7. 2-3 tbspsPomegranate Arils (you can add more)
  8. 1Banana (optional)

Steps

10 minutes
  1. 1

    Wash the Chiwda / Flattened rice 2-3 times with water. Discard excess water by wringing with your hand gently. Add Curd, Salt, sugar, lemon juice,

    Pomegranate Arils and Mint leaves and give it a good mix, adjust salt, sugar and sourness as per your taste. Have it fresh !
