8 parathas
  • 2 cupwheat flour
  • 1.5 cupgrated lauki
  • 1/2 tspnigella seeds (kalonji seeds)
  • 1/2 tspcrushed carom seeds(ajwain)
  • 1/2 tspcumin seeds
  • 1 tsppav-bhaji masala
  • 1/2 tspkasoori methi crushed
  • 1/2 tspdry ginger powder
  • 1/2 tspred chilli powder
  • 1/4 tspturmeric powder
  • 1/2 tspsalt
  • 1.5 Tbsprefined oil
  • as requiredGhee to roast

    Mix salt, oil to wheat flour to get crumbled like flour. Add grated lauki and rest other ingredients to make paratha dough. Rest for 10 minutes.

    Divided dough into 4 balls. With a roll-pin make round like roti.

    Brush melted ghee on each roti. Spread some flour on them.

    Cut in strips and roll 3-4 strips to make ball as shown in photo.

    Roll again the balls into to paratha shapes as you like. Roast both sides with medium to low heat with ghee and serve with curry. I served with matar paneer curry.
