Rice Pilaf Rice Pilaf
A really quick and easy side dish to accompany many meat entrées. I also like to add onion or other veg sometimes. Also, vegetable stock can be used in place of chicken stock/soy butter used to make this vegetarian or vegan friendly. concon657 -

California Farm Wild Rice Mushroom Pilaf California Farm Wild Rice Mushroom Pilaf
Our nearby mountain lake grows some of the very best wild rice, nutty and creamy in flavor. And fresh oyster mushrooms grow on the kitchen counter every 30 days, they are ready to harvest today. We also saved shiitake mushrooms from last fall by air drying in the air fryer.Shiitake mushrooms taste like beef. Oyster mushrooms taste like lobster. Porcini mushrooms taste like smoked ham.A pilaf is rice cooked in broth, in this case porcini mushroom broth. The mushrooms are sauteed in white cooking wine. Shallots are glazed till sweet and optional small wagyu meat balls are browned served as a side dish. I use half a teaspoon of japanese bonito fish dashi powder to bring all these unique flavors together in a festive dish, but , for vegans, you can substitute dashi with soy sauce.By serving wagyu meatballs on the side, this dish can be vegan or traditional.#GlobalApron Hobby Horseman -

CROHNS, IBD, COLITIS, GLUTEN, DIABETES, DYSPHAGIA FRIENDLY...5/19/19by The Sheikfrom "Sheik's The Crucible: An Alloy of World Cuisine"FACEBOOK:@SheiksTheCrucible (please LIKE me)COOKPAD:TheSheik (please follow me)Who doesn't like rice? It's one of those dishes that goes with everything. And Rice Pilaf, a traditional dish originating from India, is no exception. Of course, many different nationalities have done their own spin offs on Rice Pilaf. The most famous of which, is Armenian. This recipe, is based off of my Mom's (Mary David's) Syrian Rice Pilaf that she used to make for my brother and I as children.I substituted Mom's original teaspoon of salt, for a teaspoon of Paul Prudhomme's Meat Magic, a simply wonderful all-purpose Creole spice that goes good with everything... And in this case, especially rice. Hence, the Creole addition in the name.Sheik"It's Munchie Time!"Copyright 2019 Curtis A. David / Sheik's The Crucible The Sheik (Curtis David) -

Mouthwatering Mussel Pilaf Dish Mouthwatering Mussel Pilaf Dish
Hi everyone!! I’m not sure but I think because March has kicked in I am definitely starting to feel that Spring fever….I can’t seem to sit in one place and especially in front of my computer to write my post. It took me a few hours but I finally just sat down!! 🙂 but I keep staring out the window at the trees, the flowers, which I’ve noticed have started to bloom, (make note to myself time to start planting my herbs) people walking with their dogs, jogging, some ladies chatting away, actually quite unusual?? Did everyone take the day off? hmmmOk, I need to gather my thoughts and write this recipe, a Mussel and Rice dish that is so delicious that I am sure you will enjoy..of course that is if you enjoy eating Mussels..:) This recipe is usually made in the summer, but I can’t seem to wait a couple of month so I went ahead and made it today. I went to our local fish market this morning and was so happily surprised because they have a huge variety of fishes to select from. Shrimps to Salmon to some large fish, that I don’t even think I have ever seen before…click, click, click, many delicious ideas came to mind..:)Spring fever, Summer fever that’s what’s going on in my head at the moment. 🙂 Is anyone else out there feeling like me or is it just me..???
