Cooking Instructions
- 1
Preheat the oven to 325°F. Remove the bird from wrapping. Remove the neck and bag of innards and if it comes with the bird the turkey gravy packets. Pat your bird dry on the outside and inside. Set aside.
- 2
In a medium bowl mix the butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and Parsley. Combine well. Set aside. With your hands slowly Loosen the skin around the bird without tearing. Once loosened add some of the butter mixture rubbing it into the meat an all over under the skin. Do the same on the outside and inside of the bird with the remaining butter mixture. Once covered sprinkle with a little bit of salt and black pepper all over the outside and inside of the bird.
- 3
Place bird into the Roaster Pan. Cook at 325°F for 2hrs. After 2hrs. Remove from oven and baste the whole bird with the juices at the bottom of the pan. Also bump the oven temp to 425°F. Add bird back to oven and cook for another 30min. Remove from oven. Baste again with juices from the pan and let bird rest for 30min. Then serve immediately and Enjoy 😋

Traditional Roasted Turkey Traditional Roasted Turkey
I've been roasting turkeys for several years now, and not a just on thanksgiving. While I will say that smoking a turkey is the absolute best you can get (yes, even over frying), sometimes you want those traditional autumn flavors of sage and thyme with salty crackly turkey skin that comes from a traditional roasting process. I use a dry brine and place a compound butter under the skin to give the meat an extra layer of herbed flavor. The turkey is spatchcocked, which not only cuts down the cooking time and exposes the skin for crisping that typically get soggy with a whole bird roast, but it allows the turkey to lay flat so you can fit other things in the oven while it's cooking. You will need a meat injection syringe for this recipe, they come cheap at most stores that carry kitchen gadgets. No, it's not a holiday or special occasion. I just felt like cooking the turkey I had taking up space in my freezer (mostly to free up that space lol), and I have a love for injecting my poultry with flavor since the first time I ever tried it. The British Embassy in Japan is hosting a campaign called "Food is GREAT: A Taste of Britain" for people to experience British cooking firsthand. There is more information on Facebook.http://www.facebook.com/oishii.igirisuYou can also use ground pork instead of sausage meat. After seasoning with salt and pepper, let it sit for 30 to 60 minutes before baking. Please spoon the cooked juices over the meat as it's baking. The opening where the turkey was stuffed will burn easily, so please cover with aluminum foil. You can optionally use carrots, onions, or turnips to accompany the turkey.
