Steps

Cut the shrimps open and marinate them with sprinkle of salt, pepper, 1 tbsp of shaoxing wine. Leave it while preparing the other ingredients.

In a pan, add oil and then onion/shallots and ginger garlic paste (1 tbsp). Cook for a 1 min until they turn translucent.

Add chopped tomato and turmeric powder in (1/2 tsp). Cook until tomato is broken down.

Add coriander powder (1 tsp), red chili powder (1 tsp), garam masala (1/2 tsp), cumin seeds. Reduce the heat to low and combine the spices.

Add shrimps into the pan. On low heat, cook the prawns and add water if the paste gets too dry.

Add coriander and cut chilies before serving.
