Sev usal from green peas

Chop onions and tomatoes finely. Boil peas (they must not get overcooked.) and potatoes separately.

Heat oil and crackle jeera. Add asafoetida powder followed by onions. Fry till they are translucent. Add tomatoes and fry till they are cooked and the oil starts to ooze. Add all the spices and add. Wait till the oil separates.

Now add chana flour and roast for a few min. Next, add mashed potatoes. Continue to fry till oil oozes.

Add boiled peas and around 750ml water. Bring it to a bubbling boil. Adjust spices if required. Boil till you get the right consistency as well as till you see the oil floating on the surface.

Serve hot with buns, Tali, sev, and onions.
