Peas and cashew pulao is an ideal lunch box or one pot meal which do not require any curry or raita but taste great with salad and salan. it is basically a spicier or chatpata version of shahi pulao with lesser dry fruits and more spices, herbs and flavour.

Steps

Wash and Soak rice in water for 10 minutes.

Heat ghee in a pressure cooker. Add cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter add peas and cashew nuts and saute for 2 minutes.

Now add salt, red chilli powder and biryani masala and mix. Add rice and saute for 1 minute.

Add water and place the lid and cook till 2 whistles and switch off the flame and let pressure releases automatically. Open the lid and stir.

Serve hot with salad and raita of your choice.
