Makar Sankranti

PATISHAPTA is a traditional Bengali Pithe mostly prepared on festivals and specially during winters. Its a mandatory preparation on Makar Sankranti.
It is a light and soft crepe filled either with kheer or coconut filling.
I have filled with coconut filling and the crepe is a combo of maida and sooji.

  6. 6

Take a non-stick pan / tawa, heat it moderately, grease it little oil, add 1 ladle of batter and spread as much as it spreads in round shape. The batter starts bubbling as it cooks.
Place 2 tbsp of filling on any one side of it leaving half inch from edge.

Now fold it very gently and cover the filling, most probably it requires two folds. Let it cook properly till it turns slight golden brown and cook the other side too.
